Thank you!

Thank you for all the support you've given the Climbing Rose Young Adult line of The Wild Rose Press. Our stories are still available on The Wild Rose Press website, however, since we aren't publishing new stories, our blog is no longer active. So what's going on in the YA blogosphere this week?

Well, Climbing Rose author Linda Kage (look for The Stillburrow Crush in 2010) is promising all sorts of bloggy goodness in October!

Since October is my favorite month of the year, I'm going to start it big. For the next couple of weeks, my blog's going to be packed with a variety of entertainment.
This week marks the opening of nominations for the Cybils (The Children's and Young Adults Bloggers' Literary Awards).

Welcome to the 2009 Cybils awards. All kids books published in English between Oct. 16, 2008 and the close of this year's nominations are eligible. Nominations close at 11:59 p.m. on October 15th

Got a favorite book? Click here to nominate it.

Ever wonder what the deal is with all the reading challenges around the book blogosphere? New to the idea? Well, Becky of Becky's Book Reviews has the scoop:

Reading challenges come in all different shapes and sizes. They all have different goals. Though typically the goal is to have fun reading books. Sometimes there is more of a challenge involved than others. Some ask you to go where you haven't gone before. To get out of your comfort zone.
Looking for a challenge to join? Here's a new one based on a Fantasy Novel poll: 101 Fantasy Reading Challenge.

And feel like a challenge of a different sort? How about a quiz to see how well you stack up in English knowledge? Check out The Commonly Confused Words Test. It's fun and it only takes a few minutes (and I'm not just saying that because I scored English Genius :)
