Free Prom Dresses in Canada

If you live in the Toronto area and can’t afford to go to the prom, check out the Corsage Project. They offer free jewelry, dresses, accessories, hairstyling, and makeup for the prom. Donors to the project often also help pay the cost of the prom ticket.

To qualify, a student must be in financial need. A school guidance counselor, Children's Aid worker, or social worker has to recommend you for the project. Those who qualify are invited to the Corsage Project’s Boutique Ball in May. In addition to choosing a gown, shoes, and accessories with the help of a personal shopper, participants receive makeup and hair consultations along with samples of beauty products and a professional photo to capture the special memories.

For more information on how you can be part of the Boutique Ball, visit the Corsage Project website to see a video and newspaper articles about the project.
